A Voice of Elevation

Why I Am Running

Why I Am Running

The social determinants of health and wellbeing are multifaceted. The conditions in which people are born in, grow, live, work, and age in have a huge impact on their quality of life and health outcomes. Underlying these is the State’s role in ensuring social justice, adequate public infrastructure, state security and proper border control.

My passions have inspired me to run in this election. These include my passion  for equal access to education, equality of opportunities especially in employment, fair access to housing, social cohesion, the strengthening of cross-border relations in the Island of Ireland, and political representativeness.

The Trinity Seanad seats were originally created to give a voice to minority groups in Ireland. As anti-immigrant sentiments rise globally, coupled with war, it is more critical than ever to uphold this purpose. My campaign emphasises equality, inclusion, and human elevation—prioritising shared humanity over division.

If elected, I will:

1. Empower Third-Level Institutions: Champion increased funding, global reputation enhancement, and a greater role for universities in educating future leaders.
2. Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI): Advocate for the rights of the elderly, the homeless, people with disabilities, families, migrants, LGBTQ+, and the Travelling community.
3. Affordable Housing: Push for policies that reduce costs and ensure fair access to housing, including student accommodation.
4. Strengthen Cross-Border Relations: promote dialogue, peacebuilding, and collaboration across borders, exploring mutual recognition of certain court orders and fostering shared prosperity to create a more unified and prosperous Ireland.
